Business Link
Centenary Action Business Link
Centenary Action’s Business Link is a growing network of women from across the business and entrepreneurial world who want to be better informed of and connected to the political world. It brings together women with different levels of political interest — from those who are curious but tentative, to those already politically engaged, to those considering standing for public office and in a range of roles.
Centenary Action’s Business Link creates space for learning, connection and action. Through events and discussions — including sessions hosted by Centenary Action and others in Parliament — members gain insight into how politics works, the barriers women face in political life, and the practical ways business networks and experience can support democratic participation.
This is a two-way relationship. Stronger links between women in business and women in politics benefit society — but they also benefit the women involved. Business leaders gain a deeper understanding of policy and public decision-making, while politicians benefit from real-world business experience, leadership perspectives and expertise. Together, these connections help build more effective, representative and responsive public institutions.
What We Are Trying to Change
Business Link is focused on three connected aims:
Broaden access to political power
We support women across sectors and career stages to understand their influence as citizens, professionals and community leaders — and to use that influence to engage with democracy, whether through voting, advocacy, leadership or public service.
Strengthen dialogue between business and politics
We help create constructive, cross-party engagement between businesswomen and political institutions, encouraging better listening, collaboration and modernisation of political culture and practice.
Support Centenary Action’s wider mission
Business Link plays an important role in fundraising and sustaining Centenary Action’s campaigning work through to 2028, helping resource our cross-party advocacy, parliamentary engagement and national mobilisation.
