Many women in business not only support the campaign for a gender equal Parliament, and the issues that sit behind the campaign, but are themselves at the forefront of ensuring business itself works better for the numerous women who work within it. Indeed, business has proven itself to be more progressive than Parliament on many issues and companies are being held to account for their commitments to gender equality and diversity by both their employees and increasingly the investor community.
Centenary Action is working with individual women, as well as a number of companies, to find ways to encourage women business leaders and entrepreneurs to use their impact and power to influence political parties as well as to use their voice to raise awareness of the campaign and encourage their women colleagues to use their vote in the coming election.
