As part of our #celebratingwomenMPs campaign we brought together over 100 women in parliament to celebrate the achievements of women MPs and call for more women to be selected and elected. We heard from Dr Noshaba Khiljee, approved Conservative Parliamentary Candidate; Jess Asato, Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Waveney and Zoe Franklin Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Guildford about the women MPs who have inspired and supported them on their political journeys. Girlguiding advocates Lydia and Niamah also gave impassioned speeches about the sexism faced by women MPs and how they have been inspired by women MPs to speak up for young people. The event was attended by Centenary Action members, candidates, councillors, MPs and Peers.
