Working with our partner organisations Disability Policy Centre and Elect Her we brought together a fantastic panel of cross party speakers to examine how the political parties can increase the numbers of d/Deaf and Disabled women activists and, ultimately, MPs.  Chaired by Celia Hensman from the Disability Policy Centre we heard from Chloe Smith Conservative MP, Marion Fellows SNP MP, Christine Jardine Liberal Democrat MP, Catrin Wager Plaid Cymru, Mags Lewis Green Party Disability Spokesperson and Sarabajaya Kumar from Centenary Action.  Our audience included many d/Deaf and Disabled women activists passionate about increasing Disabled representation.  A strong message came through from both the panel and the attendees that we need better financial support to enable more Disabled candidates to stand.  We were delighted that Tom Pursglove the Minister for Disabled People was able to attend to listen to what our panel had to say.
